Bei der Tisch- und der Bodenleuchte 1st Aid ist die metallbedampfte Polyesterfolie eines Erste-Hilfe-Kastens, zentrales Element. Das Material ist formbar, leicht transluzent und trotz seiner geringen Stärke äußerst robust. Die gold- und silberfarbene Beschichtung spiegelt den größten Teil des Lichts, das von zwei sich gegenüberliegenden LED-Lichtquellen auf die Folie geschickt wird, in den Raum. Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Bedampfung beider Seiten wird das Licht unterschiedlich eingefärbt: es gibt sozusagen eine "warme" goldene und eine "kühle" silberne Seite. Alle Komponenten dieser Leuchte erfüllen eine Funktion und sind auf das absolut Nötigste reduziert. Gestell und Bodenplatte aus schwarz gepulvertem Metall. Geschaltet wird die Tischleuchte mit Hilfe einer Magnetkugel auf der Grundplatte. Die Lichtquellen können einzeln oder gemeinsam geschaltet werden. Die beiden Lichtquellen der 1st Aid Floor werden durch Berühren der kleinen Antennen auf den beiden Kühlkörpern getrennt voneinander gedimmt und geschaltet.

Die neue Nachfolgerin der Tischleuchte 1st Aid heißt 1st Love. An die Stelle der gold-silber bedampften Polyesterfolie der 1st Aid tritt ein Quadrat aus Japanpapier, das nach rechts und links verschoben werden darf. Ein gelasertes Blech, das vor einer der beiden sich gegenüberliegenden LED-Lichtquellen sitzt, verwandelt das Papier in eine Projektionsfläche, auf die ein rotes "Lichtherz" geworfen wird. Das Herz wächst oder schrumpft, je nach Positionierung Projektionsbleches. Die Leuchte wird mit Hilfe einer Magnetkugel auf der Grundplatte geschaltet. Durch die Möglichkeit, die beiden Lichtquellen gemeinsam oder einzeln zum Leuchten zu bringen und so das rote Herz auch gänzlich verschwinden zu lassen, lässt sich die Lichtstimmung variieren.

Both the 1stAid table and floor lamps are built around a metal-coated polyester foil taken from a first aid-kit. The material is mouldable, somewhat translucent and extremely robust even though it is very thin. The silver and golden coating reflects most of the light the two opposite LED illuminants project on the foil. Due do the different coating of the two sides the light takes on different colors: there is a 'warm', golden, and a 'cool', silver side to it, if you will. Every part of this lamp has a specific function and has been reduced to the absolutely necessary. Stand and base plat are made out of black powdered metal. The table lamp can be controlled with the help of a magnetic ball on the base plate. The two light sources can be controlled both separately and together. The two light sources of 1st Aid Floor can be separately dimmed and controlled by touching the small antennas on the two heat sinks.

The successor of 1st Aid is called 1st Love. The metal-coated gold and silver polyester foil of the 1st Aid is replaced by a square sheet of white Japanese paper which can be shifted to the right and left. A lasered aluminium sheet sitting in front of one of the two LED light sources transforms the paper into a projection screen for a red "heart of light". The heart is either growing or shrinking according to the position of small projection sheet. The table lamp can be controlled with the help of a magnetic ball on the base plate. It is possible to create different light moods by controlling the two light sources together and separately, thus having the option to make the red heart of light disappear.
